A friend of mine does Avengers cosplay.  She’s a member of a group that dresses up as their favourite heroes and visits kids in hospitals, helps out with fund raisers, that sort of thing.  She’s a huge Captain America fan, so I thought, “of course – Cap’s shield… beret…” I was fortunate enough to find pictures of some on-line so after studying them a bit, I made one for my friend.  Once again, I looked mainly for yarns of the right colour, but did manage to find three similar yarns, so it turned out better than the coat.  These were just basic acrylic yarns.  The hook was 6mm.
