So the yarn arrived for my companion piece to the mini skull plant hangers and I was finally able to get this piece done. Actually, it was three pieces that appeared to be one piece. I found the pattern here:

It’s a hollow skull with a couple of coasters, that, when stuffed into the skull, look like brains. I actually started this with other yarn and didn’t like the result as much, but noticed that when made as directed, would create a very short skull. I wanted it to be a bit taller, so added four rows to the top and to the black lining. This meant that I had to add another round of stitches to the coasters so the edges would still be visible when tucked it into the skull. The result:
