I stumbled across this yarn at Michaels and loved the colours. Generally, purple yarns tend toward grape, and their variation was more of a dusty dark plum. I had it in my mind to do a short granny square cardigan, so I picked up some plum (as the primary colour), teal, pink and sage green. Then I set about making eleventy-million granny squares.
It was when I finished them and started attempting to join them that I discovered that this yarn, when pulled even gently, will come apart as easily as cotton candy. I was unable to join the squares together. I tried to join them using crochet, but it was so bulky, I ended up with ridges, which I didn’t want on the outer side and did not want rubbing my arms on the inside. So I ended up with a stack of unusable squares.
So… although this yarn is lovely, it is not suitable for any project that uses more than one skein or requires any sewing.
